So, making your kids eat healthy is tough and some extra effort must be put in place to complete this mission especially when there are fifi, finicky eater. But here is the fact; giving healthy snacks to your kid in interesting and appealing ways will help them eat a lot. This list for some yummy and tempting to eat snack ideas will help every mom in surviving the picky eater kids.
1. Fruit Kabobs
Fruit kabobs are an easy and fun for kids to eat more fruit! Rainbow Fruit Skewers–thread a variety of fruit onto skewers, and you have rainbow creations that kids will adore! Include a range of fruits like strawberries, grapes, pineapple and melon. Make it even better by dipping your fruit into yogurt. The way of mixing colors and textures in this snack could not be more perfect.
2. Veggie Chips
Veggie chips are another healthier replacement option for regular potato chips that kids love to crunch on; while they certainly contain more vitamins and minerals. Or you can slice vegetables (sweet potatoes, zucchini or beets) thin and bake on a sheet tray until crispy. Sprinkle with a little bland olive oil and some mild spices that your child tastes like.
The trick is also to both tasty and nutritious in order for even the littlest picky eaters will scarf them down.

One of my favorite snacks is a yogurt parfait. Top yogurt(you can use vanilla or a flavored one)with granola and fresh fruit. Some other great options are berries, bananas and kiwi.
If you like, you could even add a little drizzle of honey or sprinkle some nuts on top for an extra bit of flavor and texture! Not only do the layers make a parfait for kids visually appealing, but it offers that same variety in texture to help keep their body up as well.
4. Mini Sandwiches
Mini sandwiches are great for kids who pick and choose because there is so many different fillings that you can make these to suit anyone’s taste buds. Make sandwiches on whole grain bread and cut them with cookie cutter shapes. Use whole grain bread and fill with lean turkey, cheese, avocado or hummus.
These sliders are fun to snack on and perfect for little hands.
5. Smoothie Popsicles
I love making smoothie popsicles, an easy to make fast and refreshing way for you to enjoy a healthy treat during these hot summer days. But it can be as simple as throwing some fruit, yogurt and a little bit of honey in the blender, then freezing them in Popsicle molds. This is a versatile way of making popsicles with any types and combinations of fruits that make them appealing.
They are also a sly way to get kids to consume more fruits and even some vegetables like spinach or kale, which can be added in with no discernible flavor difference.
6. Homemade Granola Bars
While store-bought granola bars may be high in sugar and preservatives, you can make healthy homemade versions. All you need is oats, some sort of nut, dried fruit and a bit of honey or maple syrup. You can also mix in things like chocolate chips or coconut flakes to make them more of an appealing treat for kids.
They are very quickly prepared and they will last you a few days, so we really love them as kids snack.
7. Peanut Butter Banana Bites.
These bites with peanut butter and banana are a true basic, but at the same time they taste so good! Take a banana, slice it into rounds, put peanut butter between two slices of a bana nd press them together. If you want to jazz up the texture, then pop in a bowl of crushed nuts or granola with some dried fruit. Not only is this snack delicious, but the protein and healthy fats will help to keep kiddos full & energized.
8. Veggie and Cheese Roll-Ups
Find one of my favorite healthy snacks — veggie and cheese roll-ups that can be customized for your child. Whole grain wrap with cream cheese or hummus and lots of veggies: carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers (slice everything nice and thin. Fold up into a log then slice into finger lengths.
These are colorful roll-ups AND kids will eat them with their hands.
9. Apple Sandwiches
Apple sandwiches make great sense when you want your kids to have more fruit intake. Take an apple and slice it into rounds, remove the core part of course than take half or a spoonful full scooping up peanut butter (or almond) place on one side. Top with a little granola, raisins or a few chocolate chips and another apple slice.
The “sandwiches” can be adapted to different tastes and are a fun way to enjoy your food.
10. Cucumber Boats
It is a very simple and absolutely delicious snack with refreshing crunchy cucumbers in boats. Slice the cucumber in half lengthwise and remove any seeds. Stuff the hole with cream cheese, tuna salad or even hummus and garnish with cherry tomato on top (or shredded cheese).
The boat shape of this snack is whimsical and fun, with many possible fillings to give you flavors galore.
